The PUMA is the mid range of a new generation of Nickel Metal Hydride 12 volt batteries designed as a direct replacement for the conventional gliding 7Ah Lead Gel Acid Battery typically used in sailplanes.

It delivers more than twice the power of its lead acid counter part whilst having the same base footprint and lower weight.

The integral advanced electronics guarantees that it will always deliver maximum output up to the point of total discharge. Unlike gel cell batteries it does not suffer any loss of performance even after many deep discharge cycles, or storage in a discharged state, making it one of the most advanced batteries in the world today.

PUMA will operate in extreme temperatures as low as - 30'C. or equally comfortable at the other end of the scale at 70'C.

A four-segment LED display shows the battery's state of charge, via a simple press to test button. . The purpose designed RMBC 8/12, charging unit, charges the battery in less than 6 hours from flat to full. The unit is capable of more than 600 recharges before a cell change is required, making it extremely cost effective.
