Once activated, information can be obtained from as far away as the GSM footprint will allow (most countries now come under the GSM footprint)
If the battery is disturbed or tampered with while in sleep mode, the GPS will automatically switch on and stay on permanently and at the same time, send a text message to the operator's mobile phone.
